  1. UTTER was the New York Times Wordle solution about two days ago. Coincidence?

  2. I managed this one in 2, bizarrely. I went for Brute as the first word and then went for a sneaky double in the second with Utter. Could not believe my eyes when it all lit up green.

  3. Mark’s opening word streak currently:

WHOSE WOODS THESE THINK HOUSE WATCH HORSE QUEER GIVES BELLS SHAKE THERE OTHER SOUND SWEEP DOWNY FLAKE MILES

Theme: The 5-letter words in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”, a poem by Robert Frost

The next word should be SLEEP, the last unique 5-letter word in the poem

  4. Hi, I'm not sure how Shorts thumbnails work but if possible it might be an idea not to show what guesses you have made in the thumbnail as it kinda spoils the surprise 😀

  5. All greens today for me.
    STACK – OTHER – UTTER

  6. Sorta amazed that my last 3 tries were the same xD

  7. Are these not identical for all? I solved it with "udder"

  8. Got this one in three: STERN – OTTER – UTTER

Currently up to 183 in a row.

  9. Bit of a nail biter there!😮 good going Mark.

  10. Got it in 5
    First -> Trace -> Enter -> Outer -> Utter

  11. I got this in six as well. I started with CLOAK then went with PRIZE and then DERBY. I used FREER next knowing it wouldn't be that but just wanting to try a different word. I then went with USHER which led me to UTTER

  12. I think this was supposed to be a streak-breaker day

  13. SMILE-TREAD-PETER-VOTER-UTTER. We’ll give SLEEP a try next to finish off this series.

  14. spout > until > utter

Took ages to think of the final word after the second guess though.

  15. Can you guess I was making a word up in turn 3?
    EARNT/TRUCE/BURET/UTTER

  16. And when I haver, hey I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's havering to you!

  17. I also tried DETER. COAST-TILER-DETER-UTTER

  18. FLAIR – > POKER – > DETER – UTTER for me and 4/6.
If I had guessed OTTER before UTTER it would have formed a perfect green staircase pattern, but of course I had already ruled out O with POKER

  19. SPARE -> TONER -> DETER -> LITER -> UTTER (😅 honestly I was struggling to think of anything after TONER or I wouldn't have done the repeat letter so early… that was a tough one!)

  20. Mark, you need to guess the T earlier definitely before K. Better guesses were OUTER then CATER then CUTER

  21. I was sweating this one … just knew I was going to lose my streak. Woods, Cluck, Beaux, Unite, Utter. Looks so obvious AFTER you get it.🤨

  22. Not an UTTER diaster but UTTER persistence! Well done.

  23. Stare – Utter

I've had a few twos in the last few weeks or so, largely because I couldn't think of alternative guesses. Very lucky with this one.

  24. CHORD -> RANGE -> SUPER -> UMBER -> UTTER

I considered UTTER before UMBER, but I figured I'd cover more letters first.

  25. Again, I had to look up “haver, good old Scottish word.” I love these Wordle shorts, Mark.

  26. Lost my streak. I had u ter. I don't know what word i guessed last but it wasn't utter.

  27. omg, Mark, you seem so down at the end of the video, but that was a really cruel Wordle done in just over a minute! You're amazing!! Utterly wonderful! 👍💖

  28. Why do you start with a plural? it's never plural or 3rd person.

  29. I had a very similar solve. Tough one!

    Scoredle 5/6*
