  1. A rough start, but Mark's plenty wordy enough to get the job done.

  2. 5 guesses for me
    False -> Yound -> Howdy -> Woody -> Wordy

  3. Worry followed by wordy feels like it will be a common series of guesses for this one. I know i did it

  4. Mark’s opening word streak currently:

TRUST DOUBT THEIR TIRED BEING ABOUT HATED DREAM THINK TREAT THOSE TRUTH FOOLS WATCH STOOP BUILD TOOLS START

Theme: The 5-letter words from “If—“, a poem by Rudyard Kipling

I think we skipped PITCH, but that’s okay. The current line is “And lose, and start again at your beginnings”, so AGAIN should be next

  5. worRy couldn't be answer because of your staRt

  6. Bit of an odd word indeed.
    MANIC – STORE – ROUGH – DORKY – WORDY

  7. And the 3s v 5s battle goes on. Neck and neck all the way.

  8. Wordy is as close to Wordle being the Wordle solution as we will get.

  9. Yesterday I got it in 3 goes SORRY -> WORRY -> WORDY
Today I got both wordle and Worldle that I play in 1 go, it’s because I solved worldle first and then came to wordle and got it in 1 go🫡

  10. Joint – sorry – wormy – wordy 😅

  11. It's amazing how quickly you can forget the previous day's words! I totally blanked.

  12. Very lucky with my second guess: STERN > ROWDY > WORDY

  13. That you do these in a minute the vast majority of the time is so amazing. Thanks, Mark.

  14. As I start my wordles with Daily, I see this as an absolute win (in 3).

  15. PITCH-SNARE-RUBGY-WORDY. I’m not sure why Mark skipped pitch. Perhaps the hyphenation (“pitch-and-toss”)? Assuming he doesn’t skip a word again, then we will start with AGAIN next.

  16. No idea why I thought of WORMY before WORDY – maybe because I saw the M unused on my keyboard first?

    ⬛⬛🟩⬛⬛ EARNT
    🟩🟩🟩⬛🟩 WORRY
    🟩🟩🟩⬛🟩 WORMY
    🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 WORDY

  17. If only you'd spotted the R you'd STARTed with. Then you may have got WORDY and scored 4. 🤔

  18. 4 on my end took a while on guess 4 as I was trying to think of a word ending in RY but some reason WORDY came to mind before WORRY
    ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜TAKEN
    ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜SPOIL
    🟨⬜⬜⬜🟨OCCUR
    🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩WORDY

  19. I’m from Georgia (USA), and idk why, but every time I start one of these, I instantly reply to your “hello” with my own British accented “hello” and make myself laugh😂😂

  20. I was planning to guess this word on Wordle no. 1000, since it seems appropriate to mark the occasion.

  21. Somehow got all the letters in one go but still took me three tries DOWRY->ROWDY->WORDY

  22. CHAOS -> FOUND -> MOLDY -> GOODY -> ROWDY -> WORDY

This one had me stumped for a good while. I was especially taken aback by the yellow R and W in guess 5. Correct letters, wrong places. Rather annoying.

  23. this was such a fun word! I could have had this in 3, i thought of worry immediately after stare, but went STARE -> CORGI -> WORRY -> WORDY in the end

  24. I’m hoping someone can help! My wordle streak reset itself yesterday for no apparent reason and I lost my 232 day streak! I remember this happening to Mark but don’t know how he resolved it. Is there any hope I can get my streak back?

  25. Pitch > Sword > Wordy, kinda funny my second guess was basically just shifted by one.

  26. I managed to get it in 4, but I had all the letters by 3. I had STALE>CHOMP>DOWRY>WORDY

  27. Most on-the-nose Wordle yet. I got it in 5 as well, after trying DOWRY, which is a much better word imo. 🧂(<– salty)
This battle of the 3s vs. 5s is epic! 🤩🤩

  28. Always thrilled when I get a 2! HONEY>WORDY
Still hoping for an illusive 1. A friend of mine has had 7 words in 1 attempt. She must be psychic.

  29. I went a different direction: SHIRT, ALONE, PROUD, WORDY. (I was allowed to use ALONE, with no R, because I don't play hard mode.) Always a good day when I get wordle in fewer guesses than Mark!
