The opening sequence has been revealed in the comments – it might be quite a long one … (Shout-out to Vneseplayer4, who got the general theme even before Deane Short!)

  1. Four for me also: shirt, spurt, start, snort. I resisted the temptation to open with GREEN!

  2. 5 guesses for me.
    Write -> Chart -> Blurt -> Sport -> Snort

  3. Stare > Snort

    Stare continues to pay off. Two green and a yellow was great opportunity for a 2 guess win.

  4. Mark’s opening word sequence currently:

    Theme: Words which fit the pattern “_____fish”, alphabetically

    Since I missed them yesterday, I’ll give a shout-out to Vneseplayer4 for being the first to out the theme!

    I think tomorrow will be CLOWN for the clownfish, mostly known by the species’ most famous member, Nemo from Finding Nemo

  5. 'With a bit of SNARK, we can SNORE and SNORT while CLING on together.'

  6. Mark chose snore and not snort for his third guess even though the latter fell into the New York Times pattern. Physician etc.

  7. Almost fumbled my way to a 2.

  8. CRANE-SNORT. So it turns out we have a fish sequence. The next starting word must certainly be “CLOWN”.

  9. 3 on my end. Will use CLOWN again since I forgot about CLINGfish

  10. the HMH on this brought me close to losing my streak, right as I got to 150. thankfully found it in 6.

  11. Green all around, including the attire!😊☘️

  12. SNARK was quite helpful here! I got a nice 3 here!
    Wordle 1.002 3/6*
    ⬛️⬛️⬛️🟨🟩 PAINT
    🟨🟩🟨⬛️🟩 ONSET
    🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 SNORT
    And another 3 today!
    Wordle 1.003 3/6*

  13. Entertaining as always – thanks, Mark!

  14. A 3 for me today, a rare win against Mark. I'll take that as a consolation since NYT randomly started my streak over. Had 20+.😢

    🟩⬛️⬛️🟨⬛️ SLATE
    🟩🟩🟩⬛️🟩 SNOUT
    🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 SNORT

    Fairly straightforward.

  16. SNORT used to be my starting word until i changed it to include an E. STERN > SNORT

  17. SNORE is my starting word. Thought I’d got it in one

  18. SPORT -> SHORT -> SNORT – really lucky first guess, then it was a 50/50 (?).

  19. Snark and snort, two things we never see from Mark 👍
    (unless he's playing a video game with Simon) 🤭
    Thanks for the green video, Mark! 🥳☘
