  1. “a bit more New York Times”SHOTS FIRED

  2. The Dutch actually made this a game show. It's not really on air anymore, but it used to be. It was called "Lingo"

  3. Got really lucky with my start today. SLATE -> LATTE

  4. I got to a similar point and went Lathe, Latke and Latte in that order 🙂

  5. I guessed lathe on 5th and finally latte on 6th guess 😅

  6. Mark’s opening word streak currently:

    WHOSE WOODS THESE THINK HOUSE WATCH HORSE QUEER GIVES BELLS

    Theme: The 5-letter words in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”, a poem by Robert Frost

    Next one should be SHAKE to complete the line (“He gives his harness bells a shake”)

  7. Please don't ever stop doing these. Watching these after waking up is the highlight of the day.

  8. Bit of a tricky word.
    SWIPE – CRANE – BATHE – LATTE

  9. Another fast solve Mark!
    I did LASER > LATHE > LATTE

  10. You are the only one I know who tried LATTE before LATHE while both were available..

  11. I struggled on this one. Eventually got it I 6. Great>Teach>Sated>Eatin>Matte>Latte

  12. I did well with my starting word, METAL – LATER – LATTE.

  13. Fortunately, LATHE didn't occur to me 🙂
    EARNT/TABLE/LATTE

  14. I just barely got this one. In retrospect, my 3rd guess used unlikely letters but ah well. 😅 SPARE -> ALIKE -> VALUE -> CABLE -> LATHE -> LATTE

  15. Ohh amazing even I got it in 4 goes, first 2 are as always SAINT->MOLEY, by going with these guesses I knew L,E,T are in wrong places and A is in right place. The coincidence is even I went from LATER-> LATTE to get in 4 guesses total

  16. I love your reactions, Mark. Makes me smile.

  17. CHORD -> STING -> TABLE -> LATTE

    I've convinced my mom to start playing Wordle. She was very pleased to get this in four.

  18. I love that you chose LATTE because it seemed more like what the NYT would do! SHIRT, ALONE, PLATE, LATTE for me.

  19. Bells > Clade > Large > Lathe > Latte. I was so convinced that lathe was going to be right and it took me a good twenty seconds to figure out that latte was the only option left.

  20. Didn't like this as an answer; I don't consider it a proper English word. SNORT > THICK > PETAL > LATEX > LATTE

  21. SLOTH -> LATTE

    Got it in two. I figured the L would be first and LATTE was the first word to pop in my mind that fit with the known T in 2nd last position.

  22. I barely got this in six because I tried LATHE and even LATKE before I thought of LATTE.

  23. I was very lucky today: SLATE > LATTE.
    Success !

  24. Latte was interesting given Marks alternative only remaining word yesterday

  25. LATHE or LATTE, which would be more evil? LATTE, so that must be the answer. 🤣
    ACUTE led me to LATTE, and this short was definitely a cute one! 😁
